Art. 20a AniWA Public information 1 On completion of any animal experiment, the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (OSAV) shall publish the following information: a. experiment title and field; b. purpose of experiment; c. headcount of animals of each species used; d. severity of constraint imposed on the animals. 2 The Federal Council may arrange publication of other information, unless this would be contrary to overriding private or public interests worthy of protection. 3 It shall govern the arrangements, especially the degree of precision of information to be provided by the persons responsible for the experiment. In doing so, it shall take account of overriding private or public interests worthy of protection. Article 145a of the Ordinance of 23 April 2008 on Animal Welfare (AniWO) Public information At the end of an experiment, OSAV shall publish the information listed in Article 139 paragraph 1bis a to c, the actual headcount of animals used per species and the degree of constraint imposed. Article 16 of the Ordinance on the IT System relating to Animal Experiments (animex-ch Ordinance) Publication of data 1 The animal experimentation information made public in accordance with Article 20a AniWA and the animal experiment statistics under Article 36 AniWA shall be based on the data on the animex-ch IT system. 2 OSAV shall provide the cantonal authorities with the data published in the food safety and veterinary public health data assessment and analysis system.
