Ordinance of 30 March 1994 on Electric Lines and Cables

1 The convergence, alignment and transposition between electric power lines shall be designed to avoid transfers of potential between the conductors of different lines. 2 Annex 17 specifies the distances to allow for in cases of convergence, alignment and transposition between electric power lines. No safe distance is prescribed for convergence, alignment and transposition between isolated weak-current lines. 3 The safe distance for transposition shall be calculated on the following assumptions: a. for the upper conductor: conductor temperature of 0°C with overload, allowing for a possible increase in flèche where there are limited-slide fasteners or mobile suspensions; b.for the lower conductor: conductor temperature of 0°C without overload. 4 Operators shall provide each other with the necessary data for distance calculations.
